The IATA Standard Safety Assessment (ISSA) is a voluntary evaluation program, tailored to meet the needs of operators with a desire to implement international safety requirements and best practices that emanated from the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Program to the operators of smaller aircraft that are not eligible for the IOSA program.

Highlights of the ISSA program were:

• Global Safety and Operational Standards aligning operations with relevant IOSA and ICAO requirements.
• Gradual Implementation of SMS elements.
• Improved commercial opportunities by demonstrating conformity with the industry standard.
• Reduction of redundant audits and associated costs and standardization of operational processes and procedures.
• Strengthen the company profile to reduce insurance premiums.

Airfast underwent ISSA certification audit from 6 – 7 February 2024 by Quali-Audit, and appointed ISSA Audit Organization, to verify documentation and implementation of the standards in Airfast Head Office. ISSA Audit scope which covers areas as follows:

• Organization and Management System (ORG)
• Flight Operations (FLT)
• Operational Control and Flight Dispatch (DSP)
• Aircraft Engineering and Maintenance (MNT)
• Cabin Operations (CAB)
• Ground Handling Operations (GRH)
• Cargo Operations (CGO)
• Security Management (SEC)

The assessment was conducted in accordance with ISSA program standards & requirements. Airfast Indonesia officially registered as an ISSA operator on 6 June 2024. Airfast Indonesia is one of sixteen operators worldwide that maintain ISSA registration.
